ITINERARY:

FIRST DAY:
We meet in Tena at 8.00 am , and then we go by bus to la Punta de Ahuano (1 hour). There we take a motor canoe along the Rio Napo, the most important river of Ecuadorian Amazonia, for around 25 minutes in order to arrive at the accommodation where we will stay and from where we can enjoy a wonderful view of the Napo River and the spectacular sunsets. In the accommodation, a good meal will be waiting for us. Then we will walk (3 hours) into the jungle and discover the flora (medicinal plants, 30 meters high trees). Back at the accommodation, we can rest and enjoy the dinner by candle light.

SECOND DAY:
After the breakfast, we travel by motor canoe about 20 minutes and then walk for 5 hours to the Rio Blanco Waterfall, in which we can have a well-earned swim. There we will eat our lunch. On the way back, we visit the Rio Blanco Community where we will visit the Quichua Indians and experience their customs and traditions: how they make their ceramics, existing only in Amazonia (el achiote and el guito). Once we are back to the accommodation, we can swim in the River Napo, eat and rest.

THIRD DAY:
We have breakfast and then we navigate by canoe for 40 minutes to Amazonico, a rehabilitation and reintroduction centre for endemic animals of the region. We will see free monkeys, ocelots, capybaras, turtles, tortoises, parrots, etc…). Later, we go to the Indian Traditional Tramps Museum, where we can practice using a blowpipe. Then we travel back to la Punta de Ahuano and have lunch before returning to Tena where we end our tour around 4.00 pm.
