ITINERARY 1 DAY TOUR

FIRST DAY: We meet at our office in Banos at 8:30 am. We travel by private car towards Puyo where we visit a rescue center for animals including monkeys, ocelots and caimans. Afterwards we will visit a beautiful waterfall, which is about two hours away from the cabins, in which we can swim and enjoy the tranquility of the forest. The stunning setting makes the area a memorable one. On the way back to a camp through the jungle we will have some explanations about the rainforest and its flora and fauna, when we will get to the camp we will have a traditional lunch, after that, we will go on a paddle canoe ride for 30 minutes on the Puyo river, after that we will visit a viewpoint where we have an exceptional view of the rainforest. Then we will continue our journey and visit a Quichua indigenous community where you can watch how they make necklaces and bracelets. We can also practice the blowpipe and paint our faces with achiote, which is a natural paint. After this amazing adventure we will go back to Baños.

Itinerary 1 night 2 days

After arriving at the camp in the Hola Vida Reserve we have our lunch. Afterwards we will visit a beautiful waterfall, which is about two hours away from the cabins, in which we can swim and enjoy the tranquility of the forest. The stunning setting makes the area a memorable one. On the way back to our camp through the jungle we will have some explanations about the rainforest and its flora and fauna.

After this experience we will go back to our camp. If you don’t feel tired, you can go on a night walk with your guide to observe insects and frogs.

SECOND DAY: After breakfast, we will visit a viewpoint where we have an exceptional view of the rainforest. Then we will continue our journey and visit a Quichua indigenous community where you can watch how they make necklaces and bracelets. We can also practice the blowpipe and paint our faces with achiote, which is a natural paint. After that, we will go on a paddle canoe ride for 30 minutes on the Puyo river, after that we will return to the cabins to take our lunch and then return to Baños where you will arrive around 4 or 5 pm.

Passport copy, flashlight and extra batteries if it is for 2 days trip, extra money for drinks and cigarettes, camera / film (200/400/800 ASA), sun screen, hat and sunglasses, lightweight long-sleeved and short – sleeved shirt, lightweight long-pants and shorts, comfortable shoes and socks, bathing suit, towel, ziplock bags/dry bag

The Hola Vida Reserve is located 2 1⁄2 hours by private car from Baños de Agua Santa and 30 minutes from Puyo in the southern part of the Amazon, our packages include private transport from Banos to Banos.
