We offer these trekking tours between 2-7 days through the Andean highlands (open Andean grasslands of South America on 2.500-4.500 m height) with overnight stays in tents. During these trekking tours you can admire the wonderful sceneries with a variety of the Andean flora and fauna and the possibility exists to even see some condors drifting by.

Tips for the guide

The tour starts at 8am in Baños. We travel with our private transportation 4x4 for 20 min. till Pondoa (2650m). Then we walk for 3-4 hours from Pondoa to the refuge of Tungurahua (3800m). There we eat our lunch and have a look at the wonderful surroundings. We can hear the sounds of the volcano as well. Next, we walk down for 2hrs1/2 to Pondoa.
