Trekking Ecuador, Adventure Tours

We offer the following trekking tours between 2-7 days through the Andean highlands (open Andean grasslands of South America on 2.500-4.500 m height) with overnight stays in tents. During these trekking tours you can admire the wonderful sceneries with a variety of the Andean flora and fauna and the possibility exists to even see some condors drifting by.

Trekking Tungurahua Volcano

DISTANCE: 7 Km from Baños

TIME: 8:15 to 16-17:00

Tips for the guide

The tour starts at 8am in Baños. We travel with our private transportation 4x4 for 20 min. till Pondoa (2650m). Then we walk for 3-4 hours from Pondoa to the refuge of Tungurahua (3800m). There we eat our lunch and have a look at the wonderful surroundings. We can hear the sounds of the volcano as well. Next, we walk down for 2hrs1/2 to Pondoa.
