La regi\u00f3n de Tena es la entrada a la cuenca del Amazonas, ubicada en la parte oriental del Ecuador \u201cEl Oriente\u201d, la zona es un lugar de incomparable biodiversidad. Contiene una asombrosa cantidad de vida silvestre y flora: hogar del 50% de los mam\u00edferos de Ecuador, el 5% de las especies de plantas terrestres y una prol\u00edfica avifauna. Es la parte m\u00e1s accesible para llegar a la selva, con m\u00e1s de 500 especies de aves, grandes felinos, mariposas, monos, peces, serpientes e insectos.<\/p>\n

El Oriente, que cubre m\u00e1s de un tercio de la tierra de Ecuador, alberga solo un peque\u00f1o porcentaje de la poblaci\u00f3n del pa\u00eds, incluidos los nativos Achuar, Cofan, Huaorani y Quichua, solo por mencionar algunos.<\/p>\n
