ITINERARY

ITINERARY 1 DAY TOUR

Start: 9:00 am

Travel from Banos to Puyopungo for 2 hours. In the way you will see the waterfall route and 2 parks Sangay and Llanganates.

Near Puyo you can visit the Zoo (optional)

Visit the indigenous community where you can participate in a traditional dancing, use of the blow pipe; in their museum you can purchase some handicrafts like necklaces, bracelets or pottery.

Canoe ride for 30 minutes on the Puyo River

Lunch time around 13:00

Jungle walks in the Reserve Hola Vida for 2 hours, to learn about plants and trees of the Amazon, also to visit a waterfall where you can swim.

Visit to the view point Indichuris with amazing views of the Pastaza River and the forest.

To conclude the day, you’ll visit a local family house to learn how to make organic chocolate.

Return to Banos, the tour ends around 20:00pm.

WHAT TO BRING: Passport copy, extra money for the entrances fee, professional camera, sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, insect repellent, long-sleeves t-shirt, lightweight long pants, sport shoes, 1 pair of socks extra, bathing suit, towel, water shoes to swim in the waterfall and dry bag.

1 NIGHT 2 DAYS

FIRST DAY:

Starts: 9am

Travel from Banos to Puyopungo for 2 hours. In the way you will see the waterfall route and 2 parks Sangay and Llanganates.

SECOND DAY:

Optional. Hike to the “Hidden Waterfall” for 4 hours round trip in the morning.

Level of the Hike : Medium /Hard

Please, be prepare for the hike because it is very adventurous, you will walk in a small path into the forest with some slopes up and down, some parts of the path ends in the river with deep natural pools, to across to the other side and in order to continue the trail, in fact you must wear swimming suit and the rubber boots.

Lunch around 13:00pm

Time to pack your bags,  return to Baños, where you will arrive around 16:00.

WHAT TO BRING: Passport copy, flashlight,  extra money to pay the entrance fees, professional camera, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, long-sleeved t-shirt 2,   lightweight long pants 2, short 1, 1 pair of sport shoes, 2 pair of socks , bathing suit, towel and 1 dry bag.

The Hola Vida Reserve is located 2 1⁄2 hours by private car from Baños de Agua Santa and 30 minutes from Puyo in the southern part of the Amazon, our packages include private transport from Banos to Banos.
