Cerro Punay
Cerro Punay is the longest stepped pyramid on the planet: 584m long (construction line), 110m wide (main block) and 50m high, it rises at 3,220m asl up to 3270m above sea level with the peculiarity that no pyramid in the world (neither Egyptian, Aztec, Mayan or Peruvian) is built on the top of a mountain.

Lunch in Chunchi
Start of the trekking to Puñay from 2548 meters to 3270 meters, approximately 3 hours to the top.
Arrival at Cerro Puñay, we place the tents and move to the viewpoint to witness the incredible sunset over the cloud cover.
It is the time that the sunset begins, so you must have the video and photography equipment ready
Mountain dinner and enjoy the camp.
Day 2
Mountaineering breakfast
Return to the base 1 hour and 30 minutes approximately, here the transport will be waiting to pick you up to return to Banos.
Arrival to Riobamba or Baños, end of the tour.

What to bring: water bottle, gloves, energy drinks and snacks, camera, sun cream, warm walking trousers, trekking shoes, warm socks, sunglasses, puffer jacket or similar, woolly hat and windbreaker jacket.
This tour goes to a height of 2800 meters, it is important that you are prepared for altitude.
