Chimborazo Biking and Trekking day tours from Banos or Riobamba. This trek is one of the most scenic walks in the Andes. The giant Chimborazo and its neighbour Carihuairazo dominate the area. They are set in an amazing Andean landscape with llamas and vicuñas. It is very common to encounter Indian shepherds tending their animals.
Take a day hiking to the beautiful Chimborazo Nature Reserve. Leaving from Baños Ecuador you will travel to Chimborazo by private transportation, Ecuador’s highest peak, with an elevation of 6,268 metres (20,564 ft), Chimborazo is the highest mountain in Ecuador .
You will hike and admire the breathtaking views of Chimborazo, while experiencing all the nature and wildlife in your surroundings.
Bike ride is an option too of you are loking for more adventure.
Chimborazo Biking & Hiking
- Departure at 8:30 am from Imagine Ecuador office or from Riobamba.
- Arrive at Chimborazo to the first refuge at 4800 meters.
- Hike to second refuge located at 5000 meters.
- Bike ride from the refuge to 3800 meters for 1 hour 30 minutes
- Lunch
- Return to Banos around 5pm

Warm clothes, gloves, warm hat, sunglasses , sunscreen, water, snacks, trekking shoes, windbreaker jacket, walking sticks, water bottle, energy drinks, camera.
