The Quilotoa Loop is one of the most beautiful lagoons in Ecuador and South America, this tour is offered on Thursday or Sunday because you will have the opportunity to visit the famous local markets of Saquisili and Pujili.
The tour starts at the meeting point Blue House Hostel at 7 am, after we pick up all the people we will drive through the volcano route for about 3 hours , in the way we visit the Saquisili and Pujili market on Thursday and Sunday. When you arrive to the entrance of the Quilotoa Lagoon you will walk down to the shore of the Lagoon where you can take a boat ride or just enjoy the landscape.
The ascent you can do walking or you can rent mules for 8USD , in the entrance you will have the lunch and then you will drive back to Quito, where you will be around 7pm.
Included: professional and bilingual guide, lunch, transportation from Banos or Quito.
Not Included : tips for guide, mules ($8, optional).
The weather in the area of the Laguna is unpredictable so please bring warm and waterproof
clothing. It is important that you are well prepared for 3800m (12,467 ft), so we recommend
acclimatizing at least one day around 3000m (9,842 ft).
What to bring: warm clothes, gloves, hat, sunglasses , sunscreen, water, snacks, hiking shoes,
camera and waterproof jacket.
