One of the most exciting experiences in Ecuador is the train ride to Devil’s Nose and Cuenca is a city full of cultural and archaeological sites details!
Day 1: The tour starts in Banos at 7 am, then head for 3 hours by car to Alausí where we will start with the train ride to Devil’s Nose one of the most exciting experiences in Ecuador. The distance on the train is 12 kilometers back and forth, then continue by car to Cuenca, where we spend the night. Overnight in Hotel Forum or similar. Breakfast included.
Day 2: Let’s start our journey at 8 am after breakfast to visit the Cajas National Park one of the most important tourist attractions in Cuenca. This beautiful and varied landscape is easily accessible, with the main road that goes straight through the park to 4500m before heading to the coast. Back to Cuenca around 17:00 where we stayed for the night at Hotel Forum. Breakfast included.
Day 3: The beauty and ambience of colonial Cuenca is best experienced on foot. Our walking tour of the old town takes you through magnificent churches, old buildings with wrought iron balconies and carved wooden doors, flowers and crafts markets, art galleries, shops and all the wonders that Cuenca offers its visitors. Admire magnificent historic houses on cliffs high above the Tomebamba River, which separates the old and new city. After driving through some trendy neighborhoods which have a panoramic view of the city from the viewpoint of Turi. Depending on personal preferences, the tour will conclude with a visit to an art gallery of pottery, a Panama hat factory or workshop of an artist.
Afternoon visit the Ruins of Ingapirca one of the most important and best preserved Inca complex of Ecuador. As you explore the ruins, was originally found in a temple of worship the sun and marvel at stone walls built with perfectly carved massive blocks than a sheet of paper can not slide between them. The end of the tour is in Cuenca or you can return to Banos. Breakfast included.
